I don't know about Rich -
But Greg soitenly had some additional information available, as my rough maps of "roads" to and near 'The Whiplash' had been posted here four or five years prior to his 2014 mis-adventure, in a thread containing much additional advice from far more knowledgeable explorers than myself - see [
ngdiscussion.net] and [
ngdiscussion.net]. For a photo OF Russo's Rock, see [

And I myself have no excuse other that creeping (or creepy) senility for running over a large rock west of the upper crossing of the road between the Big Horn Section House site and Big Horn last year. I had successfully negotiated (with only one wrong turn) the road from The JéBêWèX' former summer home at the trestle near mp 287.5 (since culvertized) to the Section House site, and up the hill (WITHOUT getting stuck on the crossing) only to take my eye off the road to look for the square-topped pine that marks the approach to Roosso's Rock
. . . when
BAM . . . , there went the driveshaft on my (formerly All Wheel Drive) 2007 Ford Escape
