I resurrected this tread to post 3 additional photos. I had tried in the previous posts to offer a photo of each of the 6 SVRy cabooses, but did not have something I could share showing #1. The first photo above from the SVRR Harr Collection was familiar to me, but I was looking at the engine and not the consist which includes caboose #1. A couple caboose #1 spotting features are the small cupola with only a single side window and the stove pipe being centered from side to side. I have a copy of this photo labeled as SVRy Engine #1 2nd, but I am not sure how I came to that conclusion over the other 2 Tonopah Moguls,. unless someone else had captioned it previously. The second photo attached of SVRy caboose #3 is a nice shot I just stumbled onto this morning also from the SVRR Harr Collection. Note how they used two different stencil fonts to paint "RE BUILT".
Bruce posted a photo of #6 and I posted a current shot taken in our car shop this past summer, but I thought another period side shot might be nice to finish this little photo essay.
