James G McNary, a principal stockholder in the Cady Lbr Corp, had been an El Paso banker, in which capacity he became acquainted with investors affiliated with the NOdeM. Their capital invested in the Cady corporation included the steel cars show. The Santa Fe Northwestern at Bernalillo NM also had some ex NOdeM cars.

The NOdeM had 354 steel log cars in the 5001-5500 series in 1940. The cars that went to A Z and NM never returned to Mexico.
