Right, Tom -
I don't remember the details, but I think 3751 and her sisters were rebuilt twice and they eventually got totally new one-piece cast frames with drifting valves added to the cylinders, drivers changed from 73" to 80", roller bearings added to all axles, two small sand domes combined into one big one, larger cabs, larger tenders, probably at least 36" added to the length of the boiler, etc., etc. It could be that all that was left of the original engines were the lead and trailing trucks, air pumps and the whistles & bells.
