Interesting you should mention FIFI's crews attitude. I had heard that Fifi was going to be on display over at Van Nuys airport in So. Calif. a couple of years ago so I got off work as fast as I could and got STUCK in L.A. traffic only to get there right as they were closing up for the night. I tried to tell the guy what happened and that I would be fast looking her over and would still pay the full price and he could have cared less. It almost seemed like it was the hightlight of his day blowing me off.
It seems that all of those guys have the "If your not a pilot, you aint S*#t !" Needless to say Fifi is OFF my must see list after dealing with those guys. Do they learn that kind of attitude at ground school or something? Considering they run on donations, there should be a course in people skills for ALL their volunteers....
PS; I saw Fifi one other time when she was over at the Air National Guard base at Van Nuys when she was out filming her part in the Right Stuff movie. I was struck by how nice they were to the Guard guys, and how different they were to the general public later.
