I agree. The actual excursion will likely have a diesel with 844, thus who knows how much of the work the engine really does. The break-in runs, and ferry runs to and from Denver might be better, who knows. In 1981 we chased 8444 down to Denver with several hoppers and a caboose. The day after the trip we got the reverse, back to Cheyenne. Years ago they would run on the point of Amtrak.
