Hi David,
Excellent point! Folks attending photo charters should plan to wear drab colors. Brown, green, black or grey are all colors that work well. You want to wear something that blends well with nature, like an animal might. Bright colors such as red, yellow, orange....even bright blue....are to be avoided if possible. Obviously, the goal is for everyone to avoid being in the line of fire, but sometimes, people try to get close-up shots by tucking in behind trees or other cover that is in the line of fire. That can work, but ONLY if the person is not wearing something that will stand out behind the brush. That's where the drab colors really pay dividends.
One of the nice things about the Cumbres & Toltec ROW is that there are only a few places where you can't fit a photo line of 30-40 people. Rock Tunnel and Phantom Curve are a couple that come to mind right off the bat. The sweet spots are larger on this line than most.
