Well, that is a story all in itself. Being as it took me a while to talk the group into allowing me to convert it to a 4-4-0, we cut our time to get the drivers cast too close. For weeks I searched high and low for a small foundry that had the capability to cast a 62" diameter circle, and we could not find one in the US that would be willing to do it. I even tried to contact Dave Kloke to see where he had his cast for the Leviathan. We finally found one in China that still manufactures steam locomotives that would do it, but the leed time to make and then ship it here by boat was too narrow for the completion date for the monument, and we could not afford to air freight them. So we had a local metal shop fabricate the drivers and the pilot wheels both. Here are the drivers being sandblasted at the powder coaters.
And here they are setting on the trailer before being lifted onto the track.
