BLW spec sheet says 40 had flanged tires on front and rear drivers and plain intermediate driver tires. Photos on URY show all flanged. 40 was designed for 22 degree curves.

BLW spec sheet says 30 had flanged tires on front and rear drivers and plain intermediate driver tires. Not visible in photos. 30 was designed for 30 degree curves.
