Interesting. It also stated that it was the largest outside frame engine of its kind when it was delivered to the Uintah Ry. Of course that was before the K-36's were delivered to the D&RGW. #30 was built in 1911 only two years after the K-27's were built for the D&RG, I have read in some books that the people of Colorado and the Railroad men felt that the K-27's were Gigantic in size compared to any of the Consolidation's that operated thus far to that period of time. Wonder how they would have felt around this engine.
