If you can't make it there, why don't you put your trust in those who make decisions such as John Bush? He did all the work for the 478/483 swap on the C&T side. As well, was the one promoting the swap for the C&T. I worked on 483 and have posted plenty of photos of it's current status. It's in bad shape. 478 has been running this winter.
And 497 is a more logical candidate to rebuild for the tourist operation. It has more snort! 497 is stored serviceable but needing a rebuild.
The folks who helped muck up the swap were wrong.
