It looks as if the 260 Lilly Belle retained the crosshead pumps she had on the UdeY. I'm a bit surprised. I wonder if one of the steam guru's here can explain the function of the pump relative to injectors, pros and cons, etc. Interestingly the folks at Disney perhaps not surprisingly are good a telling some "fictional" tales about the locos. One I ran across in the Wikipedia article (that sounded like it was written by some PR person who knew nothing about steam engines)was the claim that Disney converted the engines from wood to oil, which clearly was not true. In checking on the crosshead pumps, the Disney organization apparently claims they were added by Disney. Which of course is also not true. Well, I guess that is what happens when you live so close to Fantasyland.
