About the fifth loco: when I was an Imagineer at Disney in Glandale, CA , there was a loco farm sitting next to the property fence. It was a 2-6-0. It was just the frame and cylinders along with a small collection of cast parts and cab parts. It sat there for years. The tires had worn rail depth. I often wondered bout this machine. I am sure it was #52 from Merida, the fifth loco bought from display in front of the Merida Depot. The whole pile disappeared in about 1980 or so. I never found out what it was or where it went. Rumor has it it was sold to a scrapper or a rail fan. Who knows. Disney is not telling!
