I guess I'm just lucky, Kevin -
Or maybe a diet supplemented by Arrogant Bastard, Old Curmudgeon and GRAMP
S Chromo Crude has just sharpened my sense of timing. Most likely it's just a habit left over from several years of lugging around a Mamiya RB-67 on a tripod, but I have NEVER shot in burst mode - always just one frame at a time. On my first outing with a brand new Panasonic FZ100 a few years ago, I caught several shots of #844 either 'rods-down' or 'rods-up' (see [
ngdiscussion.net] et seq.). Although 'rods-down' is IMHO more 'classic', I tend to agree with Earl, Jon and Michael that 'rods-up' does impart a slightly more dramatic feel - compare the last shot on [
ngdiscussion.net] to the first and third shots on [
ngdiscussion.net].
