At the other end of the country, I am a volunteer at Maine's WW&F Railway Museum, even though I live in Pennsylvania. I make the 550-mile trip up there two or three times a year and work for several days when I visit. Although I'm fortunate to have friends in the area where I can stay, I sometimes just take a sleeping bag and sleep in one of the cars at the museum or in the attic of the museum office. As for the SVRR, how about the cabooses? Do any of them have bunks? Would it make sense to put some bunks in one of the boxcars? There are ways to solve this issue.
