As with so many restoration projects, the restoration of Bridgton and Saco River boxcar 67 has taken much longer than originally anticipated. This was mostly due to the restoration really becoming a reconstruction, as nearly all of the wood on the car was rotted beyond reasonable repair for an operating car.
On 6/24/2017 it rolled out of the shop for the first time so that it could be spun on the turntable. This was done for the convenience of the carpentry and paint crews, so to provide more space to work.
Thanks again to our donors, supporters, volunteers, and the
Narrow Gauge Preservation Foundation for helping to make this recreation a reality.
