Wide loads are common on the WP&YR. Not only the cats for snow clearing on the White Pass which are hauled today on special built drop center flats. Throughout it's freight hauling history, wide loads included mining trucks and equipment, industrial boilers, and a wide variety of road building equipment like scrapers, graders, etc. for the building of the Alcan during WW2. I've included one example from Bruce Prior's website.
