Hi,
Here's a 1950 era photo of the compond reverse curve. The track in the lower left is near the coal chute. It swings off the photo and can be seen re-entering the photo on the left.
The hopper car is about where the coaling spur and the reverse curve (see map in previous post) are located.
This is a narrow gauge design (1881) still being used in 2015. Sort of like the Antonito-Alamosa line or Creede branch.
