John - I think that the flag holders are all still there, they are just always placed on the engineers side (for the blue flag) and the hook in the firemans side (tender) was sometimes used for water bag storage by the fireman.

To me, the biggist give-away is the coal boards.........they just don't look right compared to the original wood boards.
