The K36s were all tested by making a trial run over Marshall Pass to Sargents and return. Info I have does not give the consists of these runs, but as some top D&RGW folks went along, they might have used a business car or maybe just a couple of cabooses. First one to be tested was 480, but they were not put into service in numerical order.
