The answer is....

...based on some pictures I was sent of both freshly painted and "aged" DRGW reefers the yellow looks to be about right, albeit perhaps in need of a bit of aging. But one picture I was sent shows DRGW reefers painted in a more orange shade. Were there two colors on reefers, and if so why, or was the orange shade some kind of anomaly, either in terms of the original cars or the photo color rendition.
