Re: Reefer color

The DRHS acquired two refrigerator cars that had been used as part of a shed in Monte Vista. Both cars had one side protected and undercover since the shed was built sometime in the late 1950s. Refrigerator car 54 is in Silverton and will be used to store hardware for 315 and the other car restoration projects.

Car 39 is in Durango and is in the process of being restored. The sides that were protected by the shed roof are a good refrence for both color and lettering style. They saw the light of day for the first time in over a half century this past summer.
