Roger,
I cant believe you flew a drone while a train was going by!! That is not a historic piece of equipment!! You have got to have more class than that!!!
Okay, for the flamers, I am kidding....
I remember a time while Mr. Dan Markoff's Eureka was blasting up the D&S, and Sam Furukawa had rented a helicopter to follow the train up to Rockwood. While his copter could be heard in the background of all of my shots up the hill, I still thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We cant always control everything around us. A recent video I have seen of the Monarch Branch, while running through the switch backs, many vehicles can be seen waiting at the crossing for the trains to pass. I seriously doubt the "camera men" scolded the drivers of those vehicles for stopping on the street while a train passed. Times change, and so does the equipment we use. Be thankful that there is still a railroad running over 130 years later that you can enjoy.
