We need to remember that without the charter operators there will be no reason to run a train of freight cars. So all of us who have sweat equity in the C&TS need to cut them a break. They risk a significant amount of effort and $'s to attract folks from long distances. They don't have to come here, they can go other places.
What they can do is use the entire 64 miles of railroad. Along the highway, you will get a mix of photographers, some of which have no clue why the train is running, and how much it is costing. There are enough good spots even west of Cumbres where you could have runbys where there is limited access. Let the non-participants get the easy shots along the road. The good stuff will be at locations where it is hard to access.
