Doug,
I'm not sure what the above statement means other than you ran out of ideas. If you can intelligently explain it to me, I'm waiting for the reply.
Since you live in Chama, those of us who don't, might wonder if that's the kind of warm welcome we can always expect from the local residents.
Lets look at just the financial aspect for a minute. The C&TS made money on the charter. The Friends were paid for car use. The local merchants got the revenue from 35+ people buying motel rooms, food, gas and whatever else they bought. Hopefully the rest of the folks in Chama would be courteous and cooperative enough that such events would continue in the future and the town and railroad benefit from it.
