That is a truely amazing photo.
Consider that when the states took over, the trian set included no tank cars, only 2 stock cars, only 2 reefers (40 footers both), only one caboose and almost all of the boxcars had to be converted to rider cars.
It's a pretty amazing feat to collect up that spectacular roster.
Another thing that amazes me is that those cars could pretty much be considered "non-revenue", Since most of them can't haul passangers, aren't used to haul freight and they only get used a time or two each year.
Perhaps John will correct me on the revenue part.
Either way, I just can't say enough about how impressed I am with this railroad and the Friends organization.
