That picture reflects teamwork at so many levels, and at the hands-on level the credit needs to be balanced between the Friends and the railroad. The Friends have developed an amazing pool of talent for tearing apart old cars and putting them back together. Some of the projects would be a great subject for time lapse photography, especially given how quickly it can happen. And behind all the hands on-work is a LOT of organization. But the railroad has preserved an equally amazing pool of talent for inspecting, adjusting, repairing, and operating the old running gear. The trains Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday ran almost flawlessly. Both the railroad and the Friends have good reason to be very proud of their efforts.
