Yes this is a nice side view of one of the E&P's 24' Billmeyer and Smalls box cars. You will note that the E&P's box cars are not typical of Billmeyer and Smalls cars. Most n.g. cars turned out by B&S for other roads (D&RG, Peach Bottom, Nevada Central) had the draft gear built into the car's frame. For some unknown reason the E&P ordered theirs with the draft gear mounted under the sills. This gave the cars an abnormally low draw head (coupler) height. Thus required that the body bolsters had to be shimmed so they would match up with cars acquired by the E&P after the turn of the last century.
