It was probably 487 is the shots. 487 did not go into service until 1973. The overly optimistic management decided to strip and reflue 487 and 488 at the same time (so it might be 488). After stripping down both engines, reality set in and only 487 was put back together. 488 sat in a dismantled state until 1978 when it was put back together for the 1979 season.
Back then, all the work was done in the old engine house. Even with two stoves glowing red, it must have been frigid in that drafty old building.
