Earl, The UP 3-chimes are Hancocks too. Nathan Steamboat type 3-chimes are really rare, at least ones that are so marked as being from Nathan. Western Maryland had a few that were marked as such. They were flat-top whistles but had "ears" like a step-top.
However, I suspect that the flat-top steamboat 3-chimes what were used by the ICRR, Wabash and others, were actually produced by Nathan. I obtained one from the ACL which was on a Nathan bowl and have owned a couple ICRR ones. Some of the bell castings from the IC and Wabash have had an "N" inside a circle which is sometimes on Nathan Products as well.
