Thank You, John -
My original thought was to scan just some of my older slides - like those of the last freights in 1968 that might be of interest to others - before the colors deteriorated. Then I started digging into the 'archives' of stuff that was O-K, but not good enough for my two carousels of "projectables", and then I started looking at the better B&W negs, and then
. . .
I just now added one more set of pics to the 'Part 2' post, above, and here are the last of the 'Mystery Freight' shots from October 24 (or 25?), 1972. There are some photos missing - such as rounding Windy Point - which I think were victims of my lack of skill in loading negs onto reels before dunking them in the development tanks. And the series ends with neg #17 of the fifth roll of B&W - which leads me to think I either totally butchered roll six (if there was one), or that there MIGHT be a few Kodak-processed slides from that day which are still hiding somewhere
. . .
This last bunch starts out with one at Cresco Tank that I think may be worth re-scanning one of these days to see if I can get some more detail - and less noise - in the shadows

Between Cresco and Coxo:
The curve above Coxo, followed by a jump to a new roll at the summit - and then the Los Pinos Valley beyond

Finally something at least a little different - an appropriate end, and my favorite of all these "Mystery" shots
