I really don't know why. In theory, the recent "upgrade" we endured was supposed to take care of that problem, apparrently it hasn't, and the fact that it apparrently hasn't is very troubling. I'll try to find a solution, but until then, if you notice your browser trying to download 18,000+ messages, please hit the stop button.
