On days like today when the regular 216 and the Cinder Bear double up out of Chama it makes for some interesting switching at Cumbres. I would accomplish it this way:
Upon arriving at Cumbres, the lead engine breaks off and backs down the siding to the wye and turns. The 2nd engine sets out the Cinder Bear cars on the siding, then continues with train 216 to Oshier. What was the lead engine picks up the Cinder Bear cars and takes them back to Chama.
I like doubling the trains up the hill. Folks on both trains get a better show than if the trains went separately.
