A very interesting photo. I've not seen this before. This was probably at the brief height of Chattanooga's population.

Thanks for sharing it.

Note the railroad grade in the lower right corner. (The balloon loop came in much later.)

(I can just barely 'focus' this to a stereographic view, by uncrossing my eyes. A useful talent, since I no longer have my grandma's stereopticon.)
