You are correct sir, the 69 entered service very late last year. from 2004 to 2005 the loki recieved about 1.1million in work from Midwest locomotive and machine. Starting in late 2005 and continueing into all of 2006 the white pass invested almost another 250,000 in labor alone trying to undo all that was done improperly by the rebuilder.
They were not short of money, had the locomotive rebuild been led by someone with the required knowledge that loki would be charging up the hill as we speak. As it is, she performs so poorly that she has been able to only work the yard...and even there she is performing poorly. The smokebox is being REPLACED, the new smokebox...because all of the rivet and saddle bolt holes were cut out in the new sheet with a torch and regular straight bolts put in as fasteners for all. As a result the boiler has been "working" in the box and the box on the frame.
This is not flame, if anyone doubts this feel free to call the shop of the white pass for confirmation.
