More tours on Fri - Sun, but it sounds like you won't be there then.

Bald Knob train is Tues - Sun.

Greenbank Radio Telescope tours are hourly, on the hour.

If you would rather take photos than ride all day, take the first train to Whittaker and then walk back to Cass, shooting the Bald Knob train and the other Whittaker trains as they come up the hill. It's a pleasant way to spend a day and it's all downhill!
