A partial answer. The first train(Which I rode in Sept), makes 4 planned stops for passengers. They stop in Rockwood, and Tall Timbers.
On the way back the Tall Timbers folks board the special coach they have for them, and then folks also get off at Rockwood. Thus the Tall Timbers experience is somewhat timed for the arrival of the train heading back to Rockwood and Durango. I was at Rockwood 3 different days and someone got on or off each time. I believe the first train is the only one scheduled to stop at these two places.
