Not quite..... After Willis passed away, Lynn Cecil ran Kyle and the C&TS for several years, including the best years of the C&TS' existence. It was only after Lynn retired and sold Kyle to another company did the bean counters rise up and give it the heave ho.
That plus the fact that the new owners of Kyle Rys (StatesRail) had no interest in steam excursion railroads. They also jettisoned the Yreka Western and California Western. They kept the LK&P is Hawaii only because it was a simple little operation that made boat loads of cash.
