We dumped fill material on the north side of the fill about 10 years ago using the drop bottoms. Our train was as I recall caboose 5 on the back end for the shove, the two drop bottoms and Heisler #3. It was done on a Sun. in Oct. when we had just done a one day photo special the previous day. Most of the photographers missed a real NG steam work train. Scott Hutton was engineer and I was fireman. Not sure who all was there, probably Jerry Huck for sure. Part of the fun was people stopping on the Hwy to gawk!. One guy walked down to the engine with eyes as big as dinner plates as he was a rail fan driving through the area that had no idea we existed. We let him ride in the cab for a short move and I think made his day.
