Does that also pertain to green boiler jackets, Dan?
Concerning which it is now pretty well recognized that of the D&RGW K-36's, only one - #489 - was blessed, and only during the spring and possibly the summer of 1950 - whereas careful research by the restoration team at CRRM has determined that several of them - if not all - left Burnham shops fully decked out with Moffat Green jackets and aluminium leaf lettering, as a show of pride by those who had economically created relatively modern narrow gauge "Super Power" 2-8-2's from worn-out old standard-gauge 2-8-0's.
