It's a rather unclear picture, but it seems apparent in the photos on Blackstone's page that the cylinders are still in the same place on both the NG and SG incarnation, with the valve chests lining up with the running boards. It does appear the drivers are moved outwards but it's difficult to see the frame. Could it just be that the wheels were wider than the frame?

BTW, does anyone else think it's ironic that the SG version of the locomotive is photographed on dual gauge track?
