Hi,

A slightly tangent thought:

The RGW(exD&RGW) standard gauged very early. With the corporate antagonism between Ogden and Denver (D&RG), several D&RG narrow gauge locos were converted to SG for the RGW (maybe the courts were invloved). I think this was pre-class 56/60 era.

I've had to sell several books and I do not have all my references to be sure.
