Re: Lodgings in Chama?

On my visit to Chama last summer I stayed at the Branding Iron Motel at the south end of town -- just a little south of the wye. It was a good basic motel with clean rooms and friendly staff and not too expensive, and it might be good for someone with mobility issues because they have a lot of ground floor rooms. The down side is that the motel is a little far from the action, far enough that most people would probably choose to drive into town rather than walking even if they're able to walk. (I chose to walk back and forth the whole time I was there, but I'm someone who enjoys walking. It was about 10 minutes from the motel to the depot on foot.)

I will probably try to stay at Roger's next time since I've heard so many good things about it, but the Branding Iron is perfectly adequate.
