Like this, photo is from a couple of years ago when we were working on Sumpter Valley #19. I got the short straw and came in through the steam dome. It was okay until this stage, then it got increasingly tight as the engineer's side filled up.
The Heisler's tubes will be going back in this spring and due to the relatively smaller boiler, I plan camping out in the firebox and using a rod to fish the tube ends up to the correct hole in the tube sheet. Once you get the hang of it it go,es pretty quick.
