The RGS 0401 was blown up back in 1958. I think then they suspected some young kids, possibly college students. At least many of it's parts will help return 0579 to service.
It's a good thing that the train was late that day. How many warnings had the D&S gotten that summer? Sounds like a real weirdo whoever did it.
