depot bombing -- there was a precedence

February 23, 2003 09:45AM
There was a precedence in Colorado.
Around 1905, one Harry Orchard bombed the depot at Independence, near Cripple Creek, just as the train was arriving around 2 am. Many men were killed.
Orchard got away with this one but was later nabbed for blowing up the Governor of Idaho. Eventually he told the story to Stewart Holbrook.
