I've always thought the rotary should be recovered, put on a new, straight frame, no body, and put on display next to the other one so people could see the mechanism.

I once sat by the rotary for several hours listening to tourists explaining how it works, usually to the wife and/or children, and usually wrong*.

It would be great to have an inside view of one.

*Steam engine inside = small locomotive on a treadmill style mechanism

Big propeller pulls it through the snow.

Gas or diesel engine turns the propeller.

Big screw screws into the snow and pulls it out like a cork,

Etc., etc. etc.
