1. WORK EXTRA No. 487:
As part of the forest fire prevention and suppression, Jordan Ditcher No. OU with locomotive No. 487, will work East from Chama, New Mexico toward Cumbres Pass. Locomotive No. 463 will follow as part of work extra with rider gondola, two rider boxes, and caboose No. 05635.
Departure date: Monday, June 5, 2000
Departure time: 0800-hours (8:00 AM)
Return time: 1800-hours (6:00 PM)
Price: $125.00 with box lunch and water provided for each work train rider.
Passenger seating is limited and sold on space available basis. Photo stops during the operation will be available. This is the first trip for Jordan OU in over 22-years, since 1978, and it is not certain when it will operate again.
