Interesting comment Rich. I really struggled with the idea of using "Riding the Rio Grande in the 1950's" and opted not to use this, figuring there would be a lot of confusion with the standard gauge Rio Grande, thus the Narrow Gauge title. While I would love to have 5o's era standard gauge Rio Grande on say Tennessee Pass, or other areas, I didn't want to mislead anyone.
I have tended to go to greater lengths on this one to downplay the films quality and such, cause I don't want folks to think it is anything more than home movies. Its probably a case of being too close to it, since it is from the family. There is always a difficult situation editing this stuff, and what to keep and what to throw out. From a historical viewpoint, we tried to keep as much as possible, even if the quality suffered a little. Always subjective!
We have some stuff from the 60's but will wait to see what happens with this before deciding to do anything with it. Meantime I am working on another railroad, which is not narrow gauge.

PS It was kinda cool to see that I climbed into the cab of 490 in Antonito at age 5!! I can't say much for my taste in hats back then though!
