Aw c'mon, Willie -

'Night Passage' isn't so bad, especially when compared to some of the others, and even a great actor like Jimmy Stewart can be crippled by a dull script.  If he's thin as cardboard - or in this case, maybe 3/8" plywood - it's not his fault.   Just how believable is it for a guy who's supposedly the fastest gun west of Grinder's Switch, Iowa, to be earning his living by singing and playing an accordion,* of all things?  He could at least have gotten a job riding shotgun on the rival stage line!  Nickles & dimes tossed in his hat?  Even I got quarters and half dollars tossed to me back when I was on the road!
